A popular alternative or companion to the Acclaim Fresnel, the narrow spot achieved with Selecon PCs is near parallel and very efficient which is ideal for dramatic highlights, while the flood angle will comfortably cover a large stage area from a short throw distance. With a ‘crisper’ beam and less light scatter the Acclaim PC offers a wide range of beam angles (4°-64°) useful from onstage, stage side and auditorium lighting positions in theatre, small studio, school hall and drama suites, and display lighting applications. Useful throw distances 2-10m.

Philips Selecon Rama 5º – 60º Standard PC Spot (1000W/1200W)
A well controlled, crisp beam and little light scatter from an easy to use and versatile PC lens luminaire using a 150mm/6″ industry-standard lens. Lens luminaires are the simplest and most versatile fixtures with which to creatively light your stage. The Rama PC’s adjustable cone of light (5º to 60º) is easily blended with adjacent beams; ideal for general stage lighting applications, side, top and back light angles. Useful throw distances 4-18m / 13-59ft.
Tilt and focus scale is in real degrees allowing for accurate presetting, simply slide the heat-insulated focus knob to the beam angle you require. Quick, easy and convenient – a task achieved in seconds without the use of tools.The well controlled beam allows their use from front-of-house positions, particularly box booms / side auditorium positions.
Shape the light by masking parts of the beam using the four-leaf barndoor accessory which mounts on the front and rotates around the axis.

A top quality PC using the Selecon custom-designed 175mm / 7-inch high performance lens which combines the beam precision of a Zoomspot with the versatility of a Fresnel, “like a profile beam with 114 Hamburg Frost.”
The very narrow spot angle of 4.5° provides the output and control for dramatic highlights while the flood angle of 62° provides a wide, well controlled beam with even light distribution. Useful throw distances 4-20m / 13-65ft.
Unique posi-slide lamp / lens focus action and spring dampening design minimises sticking and vibration, maximising lamp life. No metal to metal contact. Safe replacement of the lamp without altering the focus position. Philips Selecon Arena 4.5º – 60º PC Spot (2000W/2500W)
The Arena PC is a high performance 200mm / 8-inch lens luminaire which delivers a narrow 4.5° spot beam to a medium flood of 60° making it an excellent addition to stage lighting rigs for large performance or display spaces. Useful throw distances 6-30m / 20-98ft. Choice of lamp sockets: G22 or GY16 for 220-240V; and G38 for 120V.Beam quality is excellent with greater clarity and less light spill than a Fresnel, a very even field mid focus to flood, minimal field angle and a clean, ‘punchy’ spot.
Fast, easy beam control with simple ‘twist and slide’ focus screw knob. Large, cool touch rear handle aids focus positioning. Precise positioning includes reference scale and adjustable suspension yoke. Precision clutch type tilt lock with reference scale for presetting prior to focus.
